A new model is coming out, but it's really the successor to the Siberia 800 series (formerly H Wireless). The "Arctis Pro Wireless" recently passed through the FCC: https://fccid.io/ZHK-HS00014. It basically looks to be the Arctis 7 headset and mic -- but with Bluetooth added, and the fancy base station/transmitter box from 800 series.

One thing I noticed in the user manual (https://fccid.io/ZHK-HS00014/User...al-3658570) is that they don't appear to include the Dolby Headphone processing that the Siberia 800 series had (note the lack of the Double-D Dolby symbol in the graphics on page 22). Instead, it looks like Steelseries is going with their own proprietary surround sound processing -- which avoids Dolby licensing fees but is probably not as good. Just like with the Arctis 7, DTS Headphone:X is available via PC only because it's software-based.

However, with the Bluetooth capability, these should allow for the mixing of game and chat audio from the Nintendo Switch in docked mode (stereo game audio via optical out from TV, and game chat via Bluetooth from Nintendo's phone-based chat app).

Why is it that when a product says "lag free" in the name, it makes me think there definitely will be lag?

I've used this headset for several months now, and it's the most comfortable headset I've used. One gripe is that the boom mic is very sensitive to its position.....meaning it's difficult for others to hear you if it moves away from your mouth at all.

Should note if you have newer Xbox controller with the headphone jack, you CAN use for xbox- but surround sound features will not work.

Bought these at best buy maybe a week ago for same price actually. Pretty pleased with them so far. Not as loud as the hyper x revolvers, but these being wireless made the better buy for me. Friends did say the Mic sounded better. There IS a sound delay (atleast when I mixed desktop speakers and headset in, but delay was pretty unnoticeable if I wasn't mixing to make it noticable)

Bought these a few weeks ago like new on amazon with slow shipping, returning them today as the mic would not work on 2 of my PCs, I even reisntalled drivers and tried a bunch of different methods.

Maybe I should just buy a new one lol, but the one I got looked brand new, everything was packaged.

Any idea when it will come out and if the transmitter will work with the A7?

Skip these buy the SHP9500s from Philips with a boom mic and you've got a nice pair of headphones to listen to music to as well as a much better headset as the mic for the same price.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Arctis Pro Wireless is announced at CES in a couple weeks. No idea if the transmitter will work with the Arctis 7, but I don't see them selling it separately outside of a replacement part for warranty purposes.
