M.2 is better. This will not work with the M.2 slot.

I bought one a week ago from Newegg for 84.99, and didn't have to pay tax like Amazon

At a ridiculous $340/TB, I'll pass.

This deal for the 500GB is MUCH better @ $264/TB

Which also requires a much higher initial investment. If you only want or need a mid sized drive you're going to probably spend $75-90. Some people don't have the extra $45.

Then that begs the argument they should be looking at similar or larger drives that work very well for less coin, no?

I guess it's personal preference but with anything storage (SSD, safes, sheds, etc.) It's generally a good idea to go bigger, especially in SSD land when addition cache space leads to better speeds.
