No, you can't put it in the M.2 slot. It uses a SATA III port. M.2 is faster, but also more expensive per GB.

This will go in an open SATA slot. M.2 is faster but is a different connection type and needs a specific kind of drive to fit in the M.2 slot.

Good price! Was FrontPage at 130 after $10 coupon from newegg the other day and at 125 from ebay after 15 off 75 coupon on the same day. Might end up at FP again at this price.

This will not fit in a m.2 slot. This will use SATA power and data cable.
Check your motherboard to see if it supports nvme. That is the faster protocol than SATA. Nvme will utilize the m.2 slot.

It'll work with SATA. M2s are more expensive but faster. From my experience, these are plenty fast so I never spent the extra money for an m2.

They don't go on sale a lot although they have been down to 125 a few days ago after coupon on ebay.

SATA III and M.2 slots are very different physically, so this won't work for M.2. Far as I know M.2 can be much faster, up to 3 times faster than SATA III.

Yea. It sucks they have been this price consistently. Been holding off all year hoping for a price drop but it never comes.
