I bought the 480GB version for my wife's laptop. It made it a year and a half before completely dying without any warning. I wouldn't trust this SSD with any important data.

get a samsung evo ssd or their pro version. cant go wrong.

Ive been using this exact model ssd in my pc and ps4 one each purchased a year apart for the price i would gladly grab another for under 200 usd

you don't believe it was simply bad luck? i've been sing the 250gb version of the ultra II for nearly 5 years now with no issues.

statistically with lifetime 10 years both can happens; buy 20 of the LED bubs with 10-20 years lifetime and observe: after 1 year maybe none burned out, 2 years 10-20%...

Gaaah SSD prices... I got one of these for like $150ish a year ago or so... (also got an OCZ 960GB Drive for $169.99 last Christmas).

When is a deal not a deal on a tech item? When you paid less for it a year ago... (I know, I know, supply & demand, but damn)

It goes without any saying that no local solution is good for important data. Plenty of easy and free online solutions if you are organizing. I agree SSD go with little warning but hdd fail all the time.
