Toilet paper isn't cheap at Big Lots. Looks like you're probably joking, but that's really not a slick deal. There's better things to get at Big Lots.

The last nationwide "slick deal" on toilet paper that I can remember is the deal at Kmart from last January. I filled up my car with the toilet paper and other select items, got 100% back on points, and then used those points to buy fitness equipment which was then reimbursed by my employer. We're of course still working through all of the toilet paper.

Some of the grocery stores around here occasionally have good TP deals. Not free, but very good.

Buy two items for $50 to take advantage of $10 and return one item when you pass by Big Lot.

Really? I always get it there! I know it is good for cereal and chips, they're half the cost of the grocery stores.

My wife picks out makeup there. Sometimes she can get quite a deal.

Foodstuff is what I tend to pick out there. You need to know the prices that you pay elsewhere. A lot of it is hit or miss and just not always there, for example there was Heinz ketchup made with real sugar that was only there for a short amount of time and for less than $1 per bottle. The coconut water is cheap and can be very good, but since the quality is inconsistent I'd put it a step below the quality brands (which can be purchased even cheaper at a regional chain similar to Big Lots anyways). My favorite thing to get there is actually the raw peanuts.
