PSA: In this return season, check your return history before returning to see if you might get return banned.

People don't realize that companies share data and track your returns. Much like a credit history. As with a credit agency, a returns agency can mark you as a serial returner and stores will deny your return. So pull your returns history before making a bunch of holiday returns so that you can keep from being banned.

Looking forward to the 2018 "PSA" about The Retail Equation data breech and how to get 6 months of free credit monitoring.

I just did a return at Ace Hardware with no receipt and bought sale items I wanted. The cashier did it in a single transaction and did not need my name.

Perhaps if you buy something new in a single transaction, no credit agency will know.

Definitely not BS. I don't know about this site that the OP listed but I do know that Several major retailers now use a database that is connected. So I could try to do a return for the first time at a retailer, and be denied due to returns that I did at a completely different retailer.

Is this true for return without receipt or return with receipt?
