Thanks OP!

Costco is now $29.86 for TT Deluxe with Fed efile free and STATE (valid through 1/2/18) .Applause

E-FILE is free for NEW YORK STATE RESIDENTS-

Just a friendly reminder if your AGI is less than $66k (that's AFTER 401k, health ins., etc): free fed & state e-file with hr block via my free taxes:
https://www.unitedway.org/myfreetaxes

Per Costco's coupon book valid 1/3/18 to 1/28/18, there will be a $10off for the TT Deluxe with State and $15off for Premier / Home & Business. Assuming that the full online price of $40 for TT Deluxe is the same as in store and with the $10off coupon, the $30 price would be available in store almost for the full month of Jan. 2018 (unless of course there is no Costco near you).

LOL... Paying for tax software made by a company that lobbies insanely hard to KEEP the tax code complicated and KEEP it from being simplified. That's a good one.

I have family that live in Spain, Holland, and Australia... Taxes? With their eyes closed practically.

1. Log in to government website
2. Confirm that prepared tax return is accurate
3. Add or contest information if necessary
4. If everything is fine, sign electronically --> DONE.

In a country like ours, so technologically advanced, it's pretty pathetic that something like taxes is SO complicated lol. The government HAS all of the information they need generally. There's no reason (other than profit for Intuit, H&R Block, etc. etc. etc.) that it should be as complicated as it is.

no no, you're doing it all wrong. the slickdeals way is to claim enough exemptions so that you will never get a refund and always owe in April. Let the extra income grow via investments and pay your taxes at the latest date possible. Otherwise you're just giving the government a free loan.

Ironically, I don't have any computer with CD player. Does this have downloadable code?

State preparation is included.
The state e-Filing fee is $19.99.
Printing out the completed state forms and mailing is free (less postage).

Thanks. I have about $15 in Prime no-rush shipping credits from Amazon that I've been saving for this. (PC download is also 39.86.)

You pick the first state, additional state is $39.99

No free state e-file (unless your state is actually free)
