I know YMMV, but in Illinois they charge TAXES plus 911 FEES etc, AND They don't even offer the $70 card on website that I can see.

So I need to pay $3.99 for the SIM card on "clearance", then add a $60 card which is 20% off.

At checkout, this becomes $58 and change. Not really worth my time or effort to save a buck.

Maybe others will have luck avoiding taxes and fees, but you still need to pay 4 bucks for the SIM and you can't maximize the 20% on a $70 card, so still not the best deal

This "deal" has been going on for months. Comes out to $57.29 in California for a $60 card. That's $0.29 more than using my Target redcard and getting 5% off, and with Target, I don't have to go pickup a physical refill card in store, the refill gets e-mailed directly.

Is there a limit? Cause seems like a good utilization of the Amex Offers $25 off $250 if I buy $300 worth ($60 x 5) of cricket refill cards and $20 ($4 x 5) of sim cards. Roughly comes to 30% off assuming no taxes.

Last I checked I think BB taxed these little bastards which may kill the deal for me.

Better if you could pull off in a store that has $70 refill cards so you'd have to buy 4 of each plus fillers to get there.

I should have mentioned. separate orders.

The discount only worked on one refill card when I attempted to put multiple into my cart.

For a $60 refill card and a BYOD sim (in Louisiana):

ORDER SUMMARY
Subtotal: $51.99
Shipping: FREE
Tax: $4.24
Discounts: -$0.00
ORDER TOTAL: $56.23

Do multiple orders. Amex consider total spent over the offer period, as opposed to, one transaction.

Tax kills the deal. Sell the Sim cards.

I remember that, too. Would make things much easier if we could put it all on one order, but it is possible to place multiple orders. That's what I did last year as well.

Cricket Wireless $60 Refill Card $48

Subtotal: $51.99
Shipping: FREE
Tax: $0.40
