Looks like Gen 1. Not really worth it considering the Gen 2 occasionally drops to $80 brand new with other newer and better speakers.

I have both Gen 1 and 2, There's no real noticeable difference. At $50, these are a great buy.

sound quality wise, no difference. Waterproof wise, gen 1 is not waterproof. Control wise, gen2 has tap to stop/forward/backward. Worth $30 more? depends, I would got gen 2

Yes, "using the Ultimate Ears App you can connect 150+ BOOM, BOOM 2, and MEGABOOM at the same time." https://www.ultimateears.com/en-u...ty-up.html

Best of luck to all purchasers. Logitech is anal about where you purchase from if you need warranty service. Ebay is def not one of them! PayPal offers 6 months, so there's that...............

It's "refurbished" so you wouldn't have much of a warranty anyways

I've had poor experiences with refurbed gen 1 ue booms. Got 3 in a row with shot batteries. Went from 100% to 90% pretty normal, then like a rock down to 0%. I seriously doubt they took the time to test the health of the batteries on these as well. I'd probably get a brand new gen 1 at this price but refurb no, not with what I've seen

Isn't it a deal still? Regardless of when it was available? Why didn't you share it then? I looked on Slickdeals and it wasn't on here, so I felt like sharing in case someone is interested.

Yes it's a real head scratcher on why there are no controls on these speakers. Pretty annoying.

I own a few of these.

Sound wise they're not Sonos speakers but are also not meant to be used as a primary, indoor speakers.

They get loud and clear, some bass and are built to be tossed around at the beach and occasional drop in the mud but they're not water proof.

You can also link multiple speakers together through the app so for parties these are great, affordable sound system option at this price.

On a side note these fit perfectly inside bicycle water bottle holders so they're also perfect for music while riding your bike.

How is it a deal when its the everyday price and these units are generally NOT "manufacturer refurbished". The battery life will most likely be worn although ok for most. Like someone mentioned before, the boom 2 has been $80 quite recent.
