Check wirecutter for their reviews, my company who does cell phone repeaters suggest eero as they seem to work the best and have the best UI/tech support

Thanks for the link. Maybe worth adding in the title is that this is a 1st Generation set. The set compared in the link above is Gen 2.

Side note - Skydrop irrigation controller is NOT compatible with Eero. Had to connect my old router system and have it only join that. Reached out to Skydrop they said no compatibility and can only use it in schedule mode. Ridiculous. Reached out to them last month since it's been 6 plus months with eero and they did not reply. Just a FYI with the Skydrop.

I tried it also and it is VERY GOOD. Probably one of the easiest and fastest Wi-Fi systems you can have.

For the "isn't very good" part you would need to be more specific.

Eero does an excellent job and has easy setup. I have 1st generation. Major downfall imo is that usb port is for diagnostics only and therefore you cannot connect an external hd to the router. Even still I havent found a better mesh system.

I've installed several EERO systems and they're all working good.

The most notable change between this first generation and the second generation is a faster wireless backhaul between the units (which means better wireless throughput on generation 2 systems). If you're using ethernet backhaul to all the satellites, there might be minimal difference between gen 1 and 2.
