Bravely Second End Layer & Dragon Quest VII 3DS $12 Toys R Us YMMV

Was in Toys R Us today and saw Bravely Second was on sale for $11.98 It didn't say clearance, but the website definitely doesn't reflect that price, so it may be YMMV in store.

Also Saw Dragon Quest VII for the same price.

ALSO, they are running buy one get one 30% off, so the total for both games came out to around $20.

Not sure if TRU has brick seek or not, but I will post a pic of the receipt. This was in Idaho by the way.

Opinions on both of these games?

I'm always in the market to add games to my son's 3DS collection.

Bravely second is one of the best RPGs for the 3ds, the first one (bravely default) is also really good if not better than the second. Not a huge fan of dragon quest, but if your son likes RPGs it's one to consider.

Bravely Second has been on clearance along with some others for like a month now. I first caught wind of the TRU clearance on certain 3DS games weeks ago. You'd probably have to get real lucky to find a store that actually still has this. Some other games on clearance were Dragon Quest VII, Dragon Quest VIII, Fire Emblem Birthright, Fire Emblem Conquest, Yo-Kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls, Yo-Kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits. I had no problem securing the Dragon Quest games at the time but I tried a few stores and was not able to find the Fire Emblem ones anywhere unfortunately.

After finishing DQ7, I'd never recommend it to anyone. It is absurdly long (though I'm given to understand the original version is somehow longer) and incredibly monotonous. It's just not a very fun game. It's competent. Everything works fine. It's just horrendously long and boring. I finished it out of spite.
