Newegg has a 48 hour "blitz" sale going on.
They have the Samsung 850 PRO 256GB 2.5" internal SSD w/ 3D NAND for $99.99, limit 3 per customer.

use code: EMCXBCCJ2 (you must be on their email list though)

Rather pay $70-$80 for more storage and/or slightly slower speeds that only 1% will notice if any

The PRO also has more read write cycles than EVO so you are paying for peace of mind too

The evo version is on sale 85 at best buy. 15 more for a pro is good enough for me.

Can someone inform me. I have a desktop I built a while ago where I put a 1TB HDD cause I ran out of money and couldn't afford an SSD. Can someone recommend me a good affordable SSD to buy. Is this a good one? I just want the SSD to put the OS on and make it boot faster. All the games I'd put on the HDD.

The drive transfer software one can download from Samsung was very easy to use. Upgraded from a PNY Pro 250gb to the Samsung EVO 500gb with ease.

Yes. This is one of the better, if not the best drives. Deals not too bad either.
