Huge heads up: Southwest only allows you to use 4 gift cards per flight booking. Learned that the hard way when buying 5 from Ebay and then got told during checkout on Southwest's site that only 4 can be used.

Yes. You'd have to book each person separately to use 4 per person.

If I purchase 5 - is there only one code associated with it ? Basically can I use multiple towards purchasing 1 ticket ?

I got some SWA physical GCs for Christmas, so now I'm thinking to start collecting more GCs before a summer trip.

But SWA website doesn't allow for redeeming/banking the GCs into my account, like can be done with Amazon GCs. Is this the same for all airlines' GCs?

For SWA eGCs, this means me potentially holding > $1000 in eGC codes for 6 months or more. I'm wondering how risky this is...
