This liberal spells "secede" correctly. Wink

I think he is referring to the sliding "lock" to keep it closed, not the frame lock that keeps blade open.. The slider lock is basically a small plastic L that can be broken if dropped. Kershaw will send you a replacement lock , screws, etc for free. I removed the "lock" on mine. Not needed for me.

Excellent knife except for the safety pin tip lock that is fragile.

Hovers around $36-37 for past 120 days, so sorta meh. Cool knife, just not much of a discount.

I have had mine for 2+ years with no issues. Someone else on the Chive deal said the same thing. I wonder if they had some bad lots?

I bought mine from a deal here Oct 2015 for 28. 32 is pretty good. I saw it when they had the Black Serrated deal and the Smooth was 40+. I have noticed these will fluctuate quite a bit on Amazon

I have this knife, the skyline and the chive. This knife is my least favorite. The blade is thin and , I feel , fragile. The shape of the blade looks great but I find it not as usable for a edc.

Edit: I meant Zing and not Chive.

While these are well made, the additional locking mechanism is idiotic. Not only is it a weak point, but if it fails the knife is dangerous to carry. Having to fiddle also defeats the purpose of having a quick opening knife.

Their Cryo style knives hold tightly closed without the need to have a lock. I wish either these had a mechanism like that, or that the Cryos were this well made.

I've had this for a few years now. Beautiful knife with very clean lines and reminds me of gentlemans knives from the past especially if you take the clip off. I don't carry it anymore though as NYC knife laws are pretty idiotic and Police will automatically classify this as a switch blade and let you defend it in court. Just not worth the hassle.
