Nice specs for a great price. Available only in stores from what I can tell. Saw wirecutter was looking into this item to potentially feature soon. Here's the link to check on store availability in your area:

Looks interesting but why is an activation code needed? Just curious. Already have an hdmi switch 5 to 1 so technically this device will handle more than 3 I am sure...

Yes it comes with a 3 device switch to make it 3dev compatible (and an ir extender for the remote). Activation is solely for shrink control in stores. Not complicated nor does it have anything to do with the quality from my experience.

It's got better execution and less lag than any other wireless hdmi I've seen (iogear, etc), only thing I can share from my experience is going thru walls is tough for all wireless hdmi adapters

Every store around me is showing it in stock for $89. I can even order online for shipping from walmart @ $89 as well. I don't see any indication that this is clearance/roll back pricing. So... is this just the normal price?

That's what I'm thinking. I remember seeing it higher earlier this year though, so it has to be at the least a special December/holidays price.

My thoughts exactly. I'm waiting to see if it drops in my area, hopefully to sub $50. On a different note, I know this says 1080p, but any thoughts on if it would be able to handle 4k @30fps?
