If you are willing to spend $5 less you can get bluetooth through a crappier brand

You can put one of these into your car if you live in a bad neighborhood. People will still steal it if the pickings are slim in the area from time to time, so just get a few of them (at this price). Then wire it up with the thought that someone may need to steal it from you some day and maybe they won't wreck your wiring.

You would be surprised.

They'll steal the car and leave the radio on the ground.....

I had one of these super cheap crappy radios. I had a weird alternator whining sound when you accelerate or decelerate.I toss in the the trash and bought a pioneer. Absolutely no problems at all with the pioneer. Lesson learned you get what you pay for.

These are cheap. Better to connect your speakers directly to a Leppai, or even better SQ, an SMSL mini amp, powered by a small powered inverter.
Then connect your phone to the mini amp, and you can even get online radio stations.
Sound quality most likely will exceed that of a traditional deck.
Make sure not to get the cheapest inverter that you can find. Otherwise there's the possibility of hum noise.
That said, I believe the Leppai might not need an inverter, and can connect directly to your car's 12-14v power supply.

No weird alternator noises, sound is decent, was -11F last night but the thing still worked. These units alll seem to suffer from not being able to keep the clock on top. Even when unit is turned off, clock does not display

Unclear on the actual dimensions:

Amazon - 4.9 x 7 x 2 inches
Walmart - 7.4" (width) x 2" (height) x 3.34" (depth)
