No name? Have you been living under a rock for the past decade? Team Group has been around. They're certainly not "premium" products, but they aren't garbage either. The general vibe I get from the brand's reputation is positive.

I do however (for the most part) agree with your statement about Samsung not losing any sleep over them. There are subtle differences between premium and non-premium brands, one such difference in this case is likely the read/write speeds. At least in the microSD card market, the general trend I see is Samsung having superior speeds to other brands in both read AND write categories. Whereas some advertise a comparable read speed, but hide an abysmal write speed.

Some no-name SSD with crappy support won't cause Samsung to lose much sleep. Looking at the "Team Group" website, the only way to contact support is to call Taiwan or to email them. I would only buy this if I were considering it a throw away.

This is way cheaper than the comparable Samsung but it has no customer reviews which means it probably just came out. I wonder if Samsung will be forced to drop their prices.

All I can say about Team Group is I bought a 32 GB USB 3.0 stick of theirs when USB 3.0 first came out and it continues to work great to this day. Very fast.

I know nothing of their SSD's but reviews of the 240GB are all good. I'm still on an older Samsung 128GB because I don't need much on the SSD and I have 60 GB still free.

Yes, as a computer tech, I've heard of Team before. But none of their SSD products have even 20 reviews. I can find 2 of all their other products on Newegg with 35 reviews. Their products aren't really on Amazon. When you google "teamgroup" or "team group" you find little other than their website and newegg. I don't get a vibe from them because I only ever hear about them every few months on deal websites... That's pretty no-name to me.
