Can anyone recommend a resource to cross reference if one of these might fit a Kitchen Aid fridge?

Should look into HDX filters at Home Depot. $50 bucks for 2 pack so quite a bit more but still half the price of original filters. They are also NSF 42 & 53 certified and made in USA. Standard 42 covers aesthetic (taste and odor) claims, while Standard 53 addresses health-related claims.

"The commonly tested chemical reduction claims for products seeking certification to NSF/ANSI Standard 53 are: heavy metals (arsenic, cadmium, chromium, copper, lead, mercury and selenium), inorganics (fluoride and nitrate plus nitrite) and volatile organic chemicals (chloroform surrogate as well as individual organic chemicals)."

Will check those out. The filters in this post are not NSF 53, and are made in china.

The Home Depot ones suck, they don't last nearly as long as GE authentic and the water tastes different

Not sure how this compares to the "plus" model but the 25% off promo also applies to the cheaper Maytag/Whirlpool 3pk.

I've read too many horror stories to consider using a cheap knockoff water filter.
