Need graphics card that doesn't need a strong power supply

2,852 372 December 29, 2017 at 12:49 PM
My friend has a 4 year old pc, he doesn't want to upgrade his power supply it's a Dell pc and I know it doesn't have the fancy pci e connections. Anybody know of a decent graphics card for 70 or 80 that doesn't require it?

No pcie slots???? That is basically impossible on a 4 year old desktop.

That said, if you are looking for a fairly inexpensive card that does not require external power from the PSU and runs off the main board\pcie then go with something like an EVGA 750 TI. They run about 100-120 dollars. The 1050 Ti would be better but will cost more like $140+. Or check Ebay for a deal on a used one. You will not find anything in the 70-80 dollar range new that is worth much.
