Jeezus ppl, the deal is not just for the content. Try buying these items, wrap up nicely, and try shipping them yourself as gift to family, friends or clients for all under $20. Surely you're all adults here and get that concept.

I bought a 6 pack when they went FP a few weeks ago.

The skin of the pear was somewhat tart/slightly rough. The inside was fine. I didn't think it was any better than a ripened Bartlett pear at my local Publix.

This thing is such a ripoff. Better off buying the stuff on your own at a grocery store and save a few bucks. Unless you like overpaying for a tiny bit of food and huge gift boxes.
Have you tried their pears? They are awesome.

Grocery stores do not carry these items, this is premium fruit that is not sold to grocery stores.

If you don't want premium fruit, you can buy mid to lower grade fruit at the grocery store for a little less money.

H&D's pears are far and away better than any store-bought pears I've had. I've always had to eat them over a sink or large bowl as they're so juicy.

Pretty sure I've seen the pears at Trader Joe's

Agreed. I was quite disappointing with the pears as well. No better then the local supermarket (some were actually terrible), but 5 times the price. Don't waste money (not slick). Just because something was outrageously overpriced, and now is only highly overprices doesn't mean it's slick.
If you think that it is then you fell for the marketing ploy,
Cool
