Beach camera is selling the 65b7 for 2099 including taxes and shipping, this is the same call in deal they had couple weeks ago, the title claim it's refurbished but if you read the reviews it's brand new units.

The million dollar question is whether you can use Citi price rewind or any purchase protection to lower the price later. I think probably not, which is why I won't bite.

You should put "refurbished" in the title.

Exactly. And if it says refurbished on the receipt, you're out $500. With the Superbowl only a month away, not worth biting on a refurb when new prices will likely get to this point again around that time.

Following discussion about LG OLED TV, I can say these are actually not refurbished, instead brand new. Beach Camera does that to escape manufacturer's wrath about MSRP on each model. The safer way to buy this TV for the same price will be through greentoe.

But you are 100% true price protection won't work for the fact "Refurbished" written in the invoice.

Never heard of Greentoe. Are they reputable? Any experience with them?

They're just acting as a front-end for Beach to dodge the MAP restriction- several recent threads on happy buyers.

It's literally the same set, at the same price, from the same vendor.

Only difference is the Greentoe one won't say "refurbished" so you will still be able to price protect.

It looks like they post the b7a for $2646.99 so that theory doesn't seem right...unless it is one of those "call to get the real price" deals...which kinda defeats the purpose of a "front website".

It's not a theory, it's a fact. And I already explained why.

MAP.

Beach, as an LG distributor, is not legally allowed to advertise a lower price than LG dictates to them. MAP. Minimum Advertised Price.

They can sell it cheaper- but they can't advertise it cheaper.

So Greentoe acts as a front end for folks looking to work around MAP policies, it's not advertising beach selling it cheaper- but it will accept an offer for them to sell it to you cheaper.

Likewise- simply calling Beach on the phone and asking for their lower price gets it for you cheaper as well.

But they can't advertise that lower price.
