I found these offerings interesting but YMMV as it may be a local offering:

Offer ends 01/21/18. Restrictions apply. Not available in all areas. New residential customers only. Limited to Extreme Pro Internet service. Equipment, installation, taxes and fees, and other applicable charges extra, and subject to change during and after the promo. After promo, regular rates apply. Comcast's monthly service charge for Extreme Pro Internet is $99.95 (subject to change). Service limited to a single outlet. May not be combined with other offers. Actual speeds vary and are not guaranteed. XFINITY hotspots included with XFINITY Internet Performance (and above). Does not apply to Performance Starter and below. Available in select areas. Requires compatible WiFi enabled device. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee applies to one month's recurring service charge and standard installation up to $500. Call for restrictions and complete details.

I am switching to Comcast for internet service (100 Mbps at $30/mo, older offering) and purchased a compatible modem. In the past I have switched between Verizon Fios and Comcast but have not done it for a while. So, I am aware of the short comings of Comcast, but this is a lot cheaper than my current Verizon service.

Does one ever see these speeds or just fake numbers by Comcast to charge more?

Been a customer for two years in southern Florida. I don't really have a valid alternative, they're the only broadband provider available where I live.

I had lots to complain about during the first year, but always billing/promotion issues. My 75mbps service has been reliable, i even get a little more (~80) sometimes. It's the fastest speed they offered there.

From the technical side I cannot complain. Got an email a few days ago informing they upgraded it to 100mbps, but I'm away for the holidays, so I couldn't test it.

Pricewise it's horrible, but as I said, no alternatives...

Also, once again, Xfinity is offering these prices to New Subs only... Bummer deal... That 400 for $70 would have been nice.
