Bought an Acer Aspire a couple weeks ago because the specs looked good on paper. Computer shows up feeling like a toy, constantly losing wifi, and crashing to a full on blue screen at least once a day. Shouldn't have been surprising, since my better half has an aspire for work and it's the worst laptop I've ever had to troubleshoot.

Mine or hers?

Mine? Out of the question. Brand new laptop. If it doesn't work properly out of the box, it's going back. My time is more valuable than that.

Hers? Owned by the company (which is in another country) and full of specialty software that we have no means of re-installing. Fresh Windows is out of the question there - and part of the problems are mechanical anyway.
