Anyone have first hand experience with this tripod? Doesn't seem to be too many reviews, and they don't seem all that positive.

I believe this is the same as the primaphoto brand deal a few weeks back for $50. They look the same just branded differently. (Correct me if I'm wrong).

I was looking at this, but it has terrible reviews on Amazon and other places, I bought recently a different Manfrotto product (a camera bag), and it's already falling apart. Manfrotto quality seems to be declining.

I have the 290 carbon and been using it for indoor work for about a year now. at the time I bought it, it was a huge expense for me but after using it once, I realized what the difference was between that and the cheap amazon version I had. I needed one for outside/personal work so I just picked this one up today. It looks and feels good so for now I am happy with it but long who knows how it performs in long term. plus, this no matter what will out perform any cheap amazon models so for 90 bucks I'm gonna try it.

This.

Comments from the thread say the primaphoto is a rebadge of a manfrotto tripod, and they certainly look the same visually and by spec. And if you're in the nyc area, the primaphoto can be picked up for about $40; Way less than this.
