Wow, surprised at the negs on this.

Best Buy [bestbuy.com] has it for $249.
Costco [costco.com] has it for $179.

I was considering replacing my current SB (a VIZIO S4251w‑B4) bought many years ago, but is there something bad with this? Reviews look decent.

Um, OK, so people put negs because the price isn't in the title? Strange.

But I see thread with same item at Costco for $20 more ($179.99) and it has positive rating. Strange x2.

Could be. You'll see in other posts there is always a price.

I got the 32" one from walmart for $99 but a little bit disappointed and consider to switch to this one.

The SB3251 does not have HDMI out and chromecast build-in as this one.

This is definitely a great deal, dont get why people bump the good deals. I got one and made the deal sweeter with AmEx 25$ off 45$ from Samsclub.

ARC functionality is akin to the HDMI 2.0 fiasco when 4K TVs were first hitting the market in 2013 with 1.4 ports.

ARC ports are a critical component that should be included on all modern soundbars. No excuses for its omission. That said, the ARC HDMI ports on Vizio's 2017 soundbars are 1.4... which is fine unless you have equipment that does its own audio post-processing like Xbox, Apple TV, etc.

My TV passes other device's audio quite well over ARC but has problems with Xbox. I've tried Dolby and DTS settings on the Xbox, but there is a crackling and distortion while plugged into the TV. My workaround was to plug into the soundbar's HDMI, but that is limited to 1080 or 2160 at 30 Hz. Not a big deal for me since it's a One S, but something to keep in mind for future use case scenarios.

Maybe the 2018 models will have HDMI 2.0 ports. CES is in a few days.
I'd wait unless these dropped down into the couldn't-pass-on-that $50 range.
