Coboc cable rebates are just no good anymore. They used to be money makers when Newegg had a volume discount on them. Newegg put a stop to that real quick.

For now, I'm still waiting for Newegg to bring back the FAR hard drive dock from November.

A guy can always hope. Anyway, when does the Newegg FAR offers usually end? End of January?

Not that bad.. when you run out of SATA connectors on your power supply that will reach where you want them, you need a molex cable to use anyway. This would work decent. Good for things like optical drives that are often off by themselves at the top of the case. Most these power supplies will put 4 SATA connectors on one cable. If you run that off to some odd location in your case, now the other 3 SATA connectors won't reach anything.

We all need sleep. Ever since the Newegg FAR offers came flooding in from November to now, I've pretty much gotten used to disrupting my sleeping habit and wake up at 2 am CST just to check on offers.

Worth it for the novelty factor alone... Plus, I figure, someday in the not-too-distant future, when each and every device and subassembly will be seamlessly embedded in a ubiquitous connectivity matrix of wholly wireless data and power transmission, anthropologists and collectors of quaint technological artifacts might come to value transitory paraphernalia like this chintzy cable as prized mementos of a barbarous past.

I actually have a potential use for this one day as opposed to the esata's. I think i used one of these from TD once as I had a molex on the PSU, but no free sata power.

Would rep my fav FBI director, but SD says I need to spread the love around some more.... good as I don't want any Trump special prosecutor all up in our business... hehehehehe...
