For the Price...here's the review so people can decide for themselves

-Great contrast ratio
-Brighter than average
-Low input lag for gaming

The Samsung MU8500 4k smart TV is a better than average television with good picture quality and low input lag. It features a curved design which some might find more aesthetically pleasing and it gets decently bright. It's also capable of displaying a wider range of colors which is good for saturated HDR content.

BTW - The Flat Model is the Same Price with the same discounts and warranty.

Misleading

This is what rtings REALLY says

The Samsung MU8500 is a good 4k LED TV, but it's not very competitive compared to other TVs in its price range.

Also not real hdr

Rtings clearly states that vizio p series and sony 850/900 are better

Ps I have a ks8000 and ku7000...so i am not anti samsung but the samsung TVs for this year are embarassing....

First off I quoted the article.

Second..the article was written back in August when the TV was $1200. Now for almost $500 less w/Tax I think it's a much better deal.

As for this one being Junk and the Sony's being Far superior ....here's what the Article had to say (So we're not being MISLEADING)

CLEARLY THE MORE EXPENSIVE SONY'S ARE FAR SUPERIOR. LOL

Sony 900 - 8.1 Rating
Sony 850 - 7.8 Rating
Samsung MU8500/8000 - 7.8 Rating
