This espresso/ coffee maker is seemingly identical to the now-discounted Breville version, which is $238.

Note - this uses the original Nespresso pods (which, in my opinion, are superior to the new Vertueline which have lower temp and pressure)

Does not include frother.

This machine has 4 size and 3 temp settings, along with app connectivity for personalization.

Considering the features, this deal seems to smoke

I've been a Nespresso user for 6 or 7 years. This is a great deal. I've been waiting for a discount below $200, so I'm in for one. This machine has some great features on it. But, the biggest difference between this machine and other original line machines from Nespresso, is that this machine has a separate water line for the Americano setting. So, it pours the espresso shot, then pours the correct amount of water from the water separate line for a true Americano. It's the first Nespresso machine with this capability. Hopefully this machine last longer than my U did. For whatever reason, that machine died within two years on me. Crossing my fingers. Thanks for the deal OP!

I used it in a Williams-Sonoma store and was planning to buy it there. When i found this online I ordered instead.

In my opinion, it is an upgrade over them both. It's really slick looking, the mechanism is similar to what was called the U model for the puncturing of pods (its automatic as is ejection) and the selectable sizes and Temps on the front are nice - instead of having to program alternate sizes to the two choices, you get to program the four.

I also like it's wider instead of deep.

I'm on the fence about this. It has the americano setting which I want coming from regular coffee/keurig. I like the customizability here but it'd be my first Nespresso. How important is the frother and how good of an americano does this make are my questions. Any advice or feedback is appreciated.

You can buy the frother separately. Usually there's a discount for frother purchase coupon when you get a machine without.

I tried the espresso, lungo and americano. All were excellent.

If you're coming from Keurig, I greatly prefer Nespresso - if you like espresso this is much, much better for that.

The temp setting sounds nice, but aide from that it doesn't seem to figure improved functionality from an old school maestria... I never use it, but the frothing wand makes or breaks the experience for my wife.

I was looking at that machine yesterday. I don't think this adds much more than maybe a hot water only button and Bluetooth functionality to program the sizes, default temp and automated brewing.

Do you think the americano is much better than a standard keurig coffee? I know they're not the same but they're close. I'm not even much of an espresso drinker yet but I think I'll be one if I get this machine.
