Walgreens currently has a variety of Crest toothpastes on sale for $2.99 with a $2 coupon available, bringing the final price to $0.99. Shipping is free if you select ship-to-store.

I personally had some reward points expiring tonight, so this ended up being nearly free!

Amazon has a crest $2 coupon (available again). Just got a tube for $.97+tax

Crest Complete Multi-Benefit Whitening + Scope Outlast, Mint Toothpaste, 5.8 Oz
I bought a few weeks ago and this coupon has been reset and worked again for me.

Also saw Crest 3D White Foaming Clean Whitening Toothpaste, 4.8 Ounce for .97+tax after $2 coupon.

Dentist here, we generally don't recommend whitening toothpastes because they are extremely abrasive. They whiten by removing stains and, unfortunately, quite a bit of enamel and dentin with them. I suggest using a low abrasive toothpaste and whiten using whitening strips instead since those actually bleach your teeth.

You may not notice it now but over years of brushing you can cause quite a bit of damage to teeth.

You can google "toothpaste abrasive scale" for suggestions on which low abrasive toothpastes to use but sensodyne pronamel is pretty good.

Edit: Technically it's the dentin that's most susceptible to wear.

Dollar stores sell various brand-name toothpastes. Are those the same as those in stores like Walmart?

Why don't they downsize the 3.x oz to exactly 3oz so we can bring them on planes?
