Costco will not perform services on tires purchased by non-members. Refer to the forum thread for additional details and discussion. This offer also matches several prior Frontpage deals from October and September. -Corwin

The Michelin X tour tire is a club-only version of the Michelin Defender. Much like mattresses, Michelin makes it under a different name for Sam's and Costco so other tire chains don't need to price match. Consider this when reading tire rack reviews.

You can, $15 per tire which includes installation/mounting/balancing/nitrogen/disposal, but no warranty. Maybe more if you have TPMS sensors. I just did it last week with some Tire Rack tires.

Yes. Order them online (which includes installation), then you just make an appointment at your local store for the installation itself.

Correction: no, you cannot order it now. You have to wait until 1/3.

I wouldn't. If it is a tire that isn't in stock and you are looking to speed up the purchase, I would call the store tomorrow and see if they can order it on their end to the store without payment. Then you can purchase them after 1/3.

Of course. Sams has a very similar tire selection though so if you have Sam's membership and not costco their policy allows price matching. Just might need to pull a few teeth to get there.

I ordered mine during the black Friday sale. They were shipped and arrived at the warehouse in about 4 to 5 days. I went in 2 weeks after that to get them installed. The Costco I went to does not make appointments. You just show up and get the work done. This was in Sterling, VA.

We cant just bring in tires for the installation right?
Doubt it. I think Costco does this to sell tires and not as a service station. The normal installation fees are low considering they include the lifetime road hazard and balancing every 5k miles policy. Seems to be geared to getting people to show up at Costco.

Yeah i get that. I am willing to pay their regular installation charge but I doubt if they would do the installation at all bringing in my own tires.
