Had this humidifier - has tendency to leak around the knob. Would not buy.

It was $15 few weeks ago. I know you cannot go back in time but just giving a heads-up to watch the price since it may go down again in couple of weeks.

I bought this same model and it was $15. I didn't experience any leaks as mentioned though.

Leaking from the knob is always concerning.

I use 2 of these round the clock during the winter months to keep my sinuses from drying out with gas forced air heat in the house. They usually last 2 years with weekly cleaning and sometimes will leak a little, but I have them on a plastic tray just to keep the counter dry in case of spillage. I'll say that it works a lot better than the cool mist units that leave moisture and white dust everywhere and frequently grow bacteria if you don't clean them frequently.
