Isn't this the older model? How are the blades comparing to the latest Arc5?

I think the new one is down to 135.15 on amazon. No tax either.

While this offer comes with Automatic Cleaning & Charging System, the newer one on amazon priced $135.15 doesn't come with Automatic Cleaning & Charging while this does. The newer one on amazon with Automatic Cleaning & Charging System is $199.98.

It needs to be noted that this is Panasonic's 1st-generation Arc5, and the Arc5 line is currently on the 3rd-generation.

A significant change was made to the self-cleaning dock between the 1st- and 2nd-generations, in that from 2nd-generation onwards, Panasonic is no longer using cleaner cartridges (read: more expensive) and is instead using packets of concentrated cleaner that you re-constitute with water (read: cheaper, less waste). If I were looking at a shaver with a self-cleaning dock, I would find the cleaner packet preferable.
