I'm really digging this trend where Logitech, instead of their past 3 year warranty, is now only offering a 1yr warranty on their most expensive flagship devices..

If you dont use flow or think you really need it then its not worth the upgrade as its virtually the same design except flow and the 2S has double the battery life going in at 90 days. If It was me I would just use the one you have till it dies then upgrade and by that time the 2S will be $50 or the 3S will be out and you can decide then.

If you want the Flow tech feature, just get free software like Synergy which does the same thing regardless of mouse and keyboard brand. (https://symless.com/synergy)

So is the biggest difference between the 2S and the previous MX Master the Flow tech to move between multiple computers?

I have the MX Master and wondering if it's worth the upgrade. I honestly prefer the design of the older Performance MX and wish they go back to something like that.

I had 2 of the original Gen1 MX (one home, one office) and I loved them. Was very sad when one of them broke. Bought the Gen2 to replace but it wasn't nearly as good.

Is this anything like the Gen1?

Business mice are consumable items.

I just bought the older Performance MX as a replacement. I needed a warranty replacement about two years into the three year warranty for that unit. I used my extra year of Discover warranty to get another needed replacement check last week. All in all, I will have five to six years of functioning mice for the $60 I paid way back when.

The MX Master feels great, but the scroll wheel has a hardware flaw that has not been resolved in the second generation. One year of warranty is not enough. Even with the purchase of an extended warranty, there is a decent chance you'll have trouble getting a mouse without the defect.

They're not great on Windows either. It doesn't work at all on Windows 7 and on 10 it occasionally stops.

How's this for gaming?
I have not used this one for gaming, but I assume the G602/G700 (which I have used) is a similar style and more geared towards gaming.

This one supports connecting through the Unifying receiver as well as Bluetooth. It is a useful feature if you need to use the mouse between a couple of different devices (say a desktop at home or office and a laptop while traveling).

I have no personal experience with this particular mouse. I'm still using my Gen1 MX mouse.

I have the non 2s and love it.

It's the only one that comes close to the legacy Logitech MX Revolution due to the auto free scrolling wheel. I do miss the better configuration for scrolling left/right and the forward/backward buttons as well.

Is it just me or does the MX Master mouse freeze all the time and require a quick restart?

Bluetooth absolutely sucks on my Macbook Pro with the 2s. I have to use the dongle to get any useful life out of these.
