Got this for my son when it originally released, great game, fun multiplayer... he still plays it at least once a week. Even though this game has been out for a long time and popcap isn't making another one, they still do updates for this game surprisingly.

Both are fun for kids but go with GW2...there is a lot more content.

Thank you, reps to you and OP...

This looks like a great price... I still have an unopened GW from last month, which was a deal at 13.99, and that will get returned...

i don't have gcu, still a great price at 8.99...

Glad I could help, 8.99 is a great price for a fun game. There are a ton of plants and zombies the kids can unlock when they earn coins for packs. Lots of challenges/tasks for single player too.

PSN has the "Frosty Digital Deluxe [playstation.com]" version for $14.99 ($13.74 with PS Plus) until 10am 8am PST tomorrow. Comes with:

- 6 Deluxe Edition Packs
- 2-Character Frosty Digital Bonus
- 2 Feastivus Card Packs
- 200K Coin Pack

I have no idea what any of this means, but I've heard that the base game is pretty great. Anybody have any thoughts on whether the deluxe bonuses are worth double the BB price?

Everything in GW1 is basically in GW2 but GW2 adds so much more.

Not really. There are different maps in the first one. In fact some prefer the first one to the second one

If your just starting out, it looks like it unlocks quite a bit above the base characters. Is it worth it? Iv'e purchased other special packs they've offered for my son and he loved them, the special characters and customizations are done well so for me, it's a yes.

And some prefer the second to the first...just a matter of opinion. Yes, a few maps were different but game play is the same and in my opinion GW2 is more balanced particularly for kids. The rating system in GW1 was awful and people camping hurt the game.

Got it on PS store as part of a bundle that included "Need for Speed" & "Unravel" for $13.xx with PS+ a week or so ago (Gf just did the same yesterday after getting addicted to it on my system)... We can definitely recommend the game for all ages, seeing as we (23 & 26) play it with my 6year old niece and my mother, and we ALL have a blast. The split screen feature is super convenient in my opinion.

If "Need for Speed" is of any interest to you, I would check if the "EA Family Bundle" is still available at sale price, otherwise take advantage of Best Buy deal, it's the lowest price I've seen for this game, even compared to "used" copies.
