17.9lbs, a little on the lighter side but reviews seem to be good.

Decent price imo

Lots of reviews saying 3D is dead? Is it really dead?

Very. At least for in home. They stopped making 3d TVs in 2016

My suggestion is to wait for a sub $300 deal on something with 7.2 and atmos/dts:x support. Even if you don't need it now, you will pay around the same for something that will allow you to upgrade in the future without having to buy a new receiver. They go under $300 often enough.

My insight is what aepro just said^^. You can get better spec's and features if you just wait .

Noob here, but would this be overkill for my KEF Q100s?

Looking to run a bookshelf 2.0 setup, maybe later down the road add a sub to a 2.1.

Will be connecting and playing media primarily from my laptop. Appreciate your responses, Thanks all

it's not easy these days getting more bang for your buck, added features at a lower cost often means compromised quality. for me, i am looking for a clean and powerful sounding receiver (i keep calling them amps) capable of passing through 4k and hdr and secondly 5.2.2 or 5.2.1. I care very little about other features.

i haven't demoed them all, but i really like yamaha. i don't know how the new line of denon x3400 compares at a similar price however. i guess it comes down to personal preference and what speakers you are running.

What did you learn/decide? Thinking of the same setup.
