I have this that I bought back in 2014 and this is a lower price than I paid by 75 cents. I buy a lot of pecans and walnuts from Ebay, and I use it to make sure I get the amount I paid for.

If you're referring to my post, yeah, seriously.

Why not just call it Shanghai Scale, instead of trying to imply there is anything "American" about these products. It's like Harbor Fake Tools coming up with all the fake "brand names" they do, Pittsburgh, and so on, implying that those products have anything to do with cities in the United States (c f., Milwaukee, which actually originated in Milwaukee).

There's always a non-misleading-named alternative:

My criticism was not intended for or directed at you. Just gets irritating when marketing implies something the product clearly is not. MyWeigh is made in China, and I'm quite happy with their scales.

No hard feeling taken, and I agree that brand owners can be more creative than simply using regional words, which is kinda cheap and lazy
