If used for its intended purpose it's fine, and this is a good price. It does not have grounded outlets and is designed for light duty backup. Like a router, switch/hub, USB powered camera etc. I have one and it works fine for those things, but is not designed for any sort of heavier load or for use with equipment using three prong grounded plugs. I know you can get plug adaptors but anything with a grounded plug is probably going to be too heavy of a load, and those things aren't really safe.

Removable powerbank is the opposite point of a UPS. And runtime for that unit is much shorter than this one. This unit can continue for ~80% longer at the same cost, minus a questionable feature.

@40 watts, BGE90M runtime 74 minutes, weight 6.6 pounds
@40 watts, BGE50ML runtime 41 minutes, weight 3 pounds

These are also good for keeping things like Dropcams, Cable/DVR boxes, etc powered during brief outages.

Might get one for my router and cable modem. But wondering if my power goes out, will I still get internet through my cable modem?

yes, assuming you don't require amplifiers in other places to get the signal to your modem. For me, I have a powered amplifier upstairs so i would need one for that also to keep the signal "alive".
