2 huge things:

This has 4 power over ethernet ports
This is a fully-managed switch

If you don't need these two things, then there isn't much reason to buy it. You could save your money and buy an un-managed switch.

I just received a UAP-AC-Lite from last week's Newegg ebay deal. The newer UAP-AC-Lites now support 802.3af. Even without that, the box includes a POE line adapter.

This is a good price on this switch. I wouldn't bother even looking at it unless you're already into the Unifi ecosystem, or looking to get into it.

One minor thing to be aware of is that this switch's PoE ports are 802.3af only, so they won't directly drive any of the passive PoE devices from Unifi. One example being the UAP-AC-Lite, also several Unifi Video products are passive PoE only. You'd need a (~$20-25) inline adapter to drive those directly.

Ah that's good to know, my AC-Lite was purchased about 2 yrs ago when the situation was different. So my example is bad, but still check the products you plan to connect and make sure they're 802.3af ready =)

Old box vs New box (note blue label in upper left corner.)

I think I am going to wait for a deal the 8 port/150 watt switch. It supports 802.3af & 24v passive.

I have not been able to get B&H to match post-coupon pricing.

Dang, got excited to see Ubiquiti and PoE again until I saw it wasn't the 150w version. Maybe one of these days that sucker will be on a super sweet slickdeal. Solid price though for those who need only 4 PoE ports.

Man, I do not need one but I don't know if I can pass up this time, this just keeps getting cheaper (last time around was $94). Will go nicely with the rest of my Ubiquiti stuff.
