a 40 dollar mother board cant be a gaming one, how many RAM ports does it have?
I currently have a H110-ME from Asus, It can handle any parts you put into it. I have 2x ddr4 16gb on there a 1080ti and a 7700k. Of course had to install a bios update to run the 7700k.

It does NOT matter how many RAM slots it has.
What matters is whether it supports dual channel (it does) and what clock you can run them.

You can put 32 GB in it in Dual DDR4 at 2133 MHz. What else will you need? Would it be worse than 4x8 GB? Nope... not at all.
So please... gaming does not mean you must spend top dollars.

It is a decent MOBO for very low money.

It can't cross fire/Sli. To update the bios you needed to have an existing Intel CPU in addition to the 7400/7700, etc, so you could boot the bios and upgraded it. If one's fist and only CPU is 7th Gen intel, it will not boot to update bios.

I'm not a technical computer expert by any means, but i'll post some of my thoughts on this board.

I bought this same motherboard off amazon when it dropped to just under $30 after rebate late november. Still waiting on the rebate, but as far as motherboard goes, this seems to be a pretty solid budget motherboard so far. One of the biggest complaints I've read is that some people received motherboards without an updated bios to support the 7th gen intel cpu's, making it problematic if you don't have a 6th gen one to boot it up with initially. The motherboard I received did have an updated bios, and everything worked just fine with my i3-7100 I installed with it. Hopefully all of these motherboards being shipped now have that newer bios installed.

There are some little things that may bother people. A couple of the internal sata ports are at a weird angle (2 vertical, 2 horizontal) and you have to use A LOT of force to connect the main power supply connector to the motherboard. Lastly, the ddr4 ram runs at 2133mhz max. Seems like a lot of the ddr4 being sold these days is at 2400 mhz, so the board in that case won't be running the ram at quite its full potential. Overall, still I really like this board.

Thats a pretty good price. However, I would hold off on anything Intel related until we get some solid numbers on the performance hit their CPU's take after the kernel memory bug fix is applied.

Almost no one is crossfire/SLI'ing these days so that doesn't really matter, its probably less than 5% of the consumer market.

Yes, you have to boot update the bios, although depending on the revision that may not be the case.

This is a good deal for a large number of users, especially for people who want to build HTPC's.

People getting bent all bent out of shape because they've been buying into marketing kool-aid that "gaming" actually means something.

Slickdeals isn't the place for you if you think higher price means better. Also the picture literally shows 2 ram slots (counting is hard)

Bye Felicia
