If I order this for a gift for the wife, she'll appreciate that, right?

Same old, same old and not a good price.

You can have a year (6 issues) for $3.48 from http://www.magazinedealsnow.com/t...SSAID=1462 and use coupon code MPS12 or get 3 years (16 issues) for $7.88.

"The Obesity Code" by Dr. Jason Fung is the only information on weight loss you will ever need.

My wife did this on and off for years. She was thin when we met and I had no idea she struggled with it for years. In a nutshell, after looking over the material and attending a a couple meetings with her:

1. The weight watcher book coverts calories to points to try to simplify calorie counting.

2. The meetings enforce participants esteem and they give little rewards for reaching goals.

My critical side says you are paying a monthly fee to simplify calorie counting, which anyone can do free on a smartphone. You can lose weight eating a strictly Twinkie diet if you want to. It really is that simple.

To be fair, their point system does encourage better eating and staying away from high calorie items and replacing those with more natural foods, such as vegetables and fruit.

If it works for you, great! When she was doing it, eating fruit and stuff like that did not cost points to encourage good habits. I just think more worthwhile to eat less to shrink your stomach down to it's normal non-expanded shape so the body's "full" signal works better. Everyone is different, but if your doctor starts talking about diabetes, you better do something or else you will have a lifetime of problems.

Just google weight watchers magazine free. It comes up from time to time. Or see post #8 above.
