Full Specs
-Generation 1 with iOS 5
-Recyclable aluminum & glass enclosure
-9.7-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD display
-1024 x 768 (4:3 aspect ratio) resolution
-Multi-touch screen w/finger-print & scratch resistant glass

What's in the box?
Apple iPad 16 GB WiFi Touchscreen Tablet
USB 2.0 cable
AC to USB power adapter (Input: 100-240V 50/60 Hz 0.45A; Output: 5.1V --- 2.1A)

This seems like a great price. I have an 11-year-old son who would love an iPad as a gaming platform. My concern is that iOS 5 is too old and nothing will run on it. I no little about the iPad ecosystem, though. Will contemporary games work on this?

I held on to my old iPad 1 because it's great for playing Wild West Pinball. For some reason, ads won't load on it (a feature, not a bug) and the form factor is better. The newer, thinner iPads dig into my palms too much. Since I'm not a believer in cases, the thicker case is a big plus for me.

This thing was obsolete crap the day it came out. I hated mine and the ipad 2 was a million times better.

Lol I still have my 64GB 1st Gen iPad but it's only used for watching movies in the car for my kid and the occasional game of dominoes. It cannot stream YouTube or play any good games or anything else useful. Just some really basic, old games.. I would not buy this deal.

I have an old 64gb ipad 1 too. Still streams Netflix well and great for reading books/comics with the kindle and google books app. The browsers tend to crash on most modern websites. But obviously, don't pay for one.

So as we all heard the news where Apple slows down the iPhone to conserve the battery. It backfired and now they are replacement the iPhone 6 (and newer) batteries for $29 instead of the normal price $79. How come there is no mention of iPads. Most likely they are doing the same to the iPads as well.
