$50 less than their Black Friday ad ($199). Tag says was $299, now $149. Saw about half dozen available in my store. YMMV.

Not bad for the DIYer, would consider if I didn't have all Milwaukee gear already. Warranty is great.

You're right, good kit for someone starting out and good warranty. I wonder if you can just walk into a Lowe's and they exchange tool for tool or battery for battery.

I don't have experience with power tools, only hand tools. I had a broken specialty ratchet and took it back to the store. They determined it was discontinued so they gave me a gift card for more than I paid for it (retail value). Considering the only reason to buy Craftsman (warranty) has gone the way of the Dodo, these private labeled brands seem to be a reasonable replacement to me; depending on how hard they are to use.

Not to mention this kid includes a circular saw which usually you get bent over on - ask me how I know (Milwaukee user).

Newbie to power tools, but is Kobalts 24v better than DeWalt's 20V/20V XR? Performance wise

Nice set at a good price but calling it a 4 tool set when kobalt is counting both the flashlight AND the power source as a tool is kind of crappy
(I'm harping on kobalt, not OP I know that's how the set is advertised)

I'm pretty sure the guy from kobalt that said the charger should be considered a tool was a tool.

They aren't considering the charger a tool, just the power source

These are brushless so it's going to be supposedly higher quality. I'm generalizing here but if you're asking this kind of question then this tool is probably more than you need. For most stuff around the house the 12 V lines will do. Building a deck, fence, shed, you will want a 18V.
