Unfortunately, the description is wrong....

This is a WD 4TB Elements [amazon.com], not the WD 4TB My Passport [amazon.com] Wave.

I guess the "My Passport" is a nicer drive: slightly faster speeds and 3 year warranty vs. 2 year on the Elements. The Elements drive looks smaller / sleeker though. But I'd rather have speed & reliability.

Does that sum up the differences?

The following are also 'My Passport' features:
Auto backup with included WD Backup software
Password protection with hardware encryption
At a similar price point, I would definitely go with a My Passport, which this one isn't Big Grin
