Out of curiosity, what are some examples why someone would buy this small SSD?

I was going to buy one to put my OS and applications on in my new PC build. Games and anything else to go to a large HDD.

Just for booting windows and using a larger magnetic drive to store data

I've had a similar Silicon Power SSD on my Amazon wish list for like a dollar less. Any reason to get this over that one?

Way faster، and immune to errors and damage, unlike hdds, Pcs with ssds boots in few seconds, that's of course depends on other components but SSD makes a huge difference.
note: higher capacity SSDs are faster and more efficient than small ones.

I'm particularly looking for small SSDs as a cheaper way to revive some older/slower laptops with HDDs. The SSDs make them very usable again.

I've been waiting for SSDs around this size to go down to $35, but those deals are very rare these days..

Use in a crypto mining rig. All you need is enough room for the OS and a super large page file.

Amazon has a Sata III for 44.29 Not sure if there is a huge difference though. https://www.amazon.com/Silicon-Power-120GB-Internal-SP120GBSS3S55S25AE/dp/B01M61OXRM/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc... [amazon.com]

Is this a refurb? Only ask because of the -RB at the end of the model number. Also, I was under the impression TLC is worse than MLC.
