I installed this on my car and it's honestly worth it. I purchased mine like 6 months ago for $50. It all hooks up to the backup light and has a great suction cup. I just suggest you get a plastic pry bar if you don't want to break clips in order to hide wiring.

Got one at this price on a prior deal. Probably worth the money. Obviously can't comment on any long term reliability but works well so far. Anyone who's wired speakers will be able to install one.

I was recently researching backup cameras for my wife car and I didn't like this kit because it is not universal. It looks like it has some one cable connection between camera and display that is not common. All the other kits has different type of cable. So I ended up buying camera for $25 and display for $22 that are universal so if any of them breaks down I can always replace it with something else. The display is also 5" with better resolution.

Does anyone know how difficult it is to wire this into my car? I'm car illiterate but this would help when parking as I have tight driveway. Thank you.

I have this kit in my truck. Works great. Had for a year or so. I'm going to order another one for my jeep. Fakespot is fake anyways.

Hey bud. Do you mind taking some photos or video and uploading it to YouTube? I believe that will help clear up some reviews regarding this. Thank you +REP.

It probably depends a lot on what car/truck you have. I think the most time consuming is pulling out some of your car's interior plastic or carpet to hid the wire that runs from the rear camera to the front monitor.

Hoping they can discount their rear-view mirror kits if this is going on sale.

I was literally looking at these all morning. I had almost purchased an urlhasbeenblocked monitor because it was only $20 and I already have a backup camera. Then I decided on a rearview mirror camera set because it'd be nice to not add another monitor to my dash...Then I saw the great savings on this and, better yet, that it only requires a single connection to power both the camera and the monitor. I am not a car guy and that will reduce my headache greatly. I'm in, thanks OP!

Hi I installed this on my dads car this past weekend. The only hard part was using the included wire splicers. They look like these :

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01L74L...tAbGA0K5NQ

I was probably using them wrong but I couldn't get them to pierce the wire sheath/jacket. So we used a razor blade to cut the sheaths/jacket on the reverse lamp wires and the camera wires. Lined them up in the wire splicer and closed it to make contact. Then everything worked fine.

After that just had to hide the cable in the interior and mount the display on the windshield. That was easy took about 15 minutes.

Mounting the camera behind the license plate was also easy. Took maybe 10 minutes bc we had to remove a license plate light to feed the camera wire through to the inside of the trunk.

So just have wire stripper or razor blade ready in case the splicer does not work for you.

Otherwise I'm very happy with the performance so far. We used this video as a guide:
