Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency such as Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you're using the American Express Platinum Card, you'll need to book directly with the airline or through Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Expedia's courtesy cancellation if you're unable to get the time away from work or family.
The Hawaii deals keep coming and coming. We are seeing evening more cheap fares to a handful of different islands in Hawaii, with prices starting from just $335 round-trip.
You can fly from Denver (DEN), Los Angeles (LAX), Oakland (OAK), Portland (PDX), Phoenix (PHX), Seattle (SEA) and San Francisco (SFO) to Honolulu (HNL), Kahului, Maui (OGG), Kauai (LIH) and Kona (KOA) for cheap. We are seeing decent availability from January through March on the big three legacy carriers as well as Alaska and Hawaiian.
This is a good opportunity for a mileage run or just a cheap way to escape the cold. Some flights are in basic economy, but we saw that most upgrades to Main Cabin weren't much more than $15 a seat. Start your search on Google Flights, and then you can book directly with the airline or Expedia.
Airline: Alaska, American, Delta, Hawaiian and United
Routes: DEN/LAX/OAK/PDX/PHX/SEA/SFO to HNL/LIH/OGG/KOA
Cost: $335+ round-trip in economy
Dates: January through March 2018
Booking Link: Expedia or with the airline directly
Pay With: The Platinum Card from American Express (5x on airfare), Chase Sapphire Reserve, Premier Rewards Gold Card from American Express, Citi Prestige (3x on airfare) or Chase Sapphire Preferred (2x on travel)

I click the link and get the following:

404. That's an error.

The requested URL /flights/beta?source=flgw was not found on this server. That's all we know.

Sometimes i find it worth it flying out of LA and taking a cheap flight there or even rent a 1 way car. Check allegiant for cheap flights out of mesa. Frontier and southwest have deals regularly too.

I've been tracking LAX-KOA in May for some time. No stop prices were trending around $700 but dropped to $457 today so I booked.
