The type C port only provides a max of 12W(Type-C Output: 5V/2.4A MAX) so I doubt it. You certainly can't power a switch or laptop on it.

It's a good price considering the power capacity. But to use solar as the main power source is not recommended. It will take 7 to 8 days under direct sunlight to charge it from 0 to full.

I've used ZeroLemon chargers in the past and never had an issue with them. I know it's not related to this charger, but I've used ZeroLemon glass screen protectors on an iPhone and Nintendo Switch as well and they have all worked great. Just saying they seem to have good products across many different areas.

IM surprised that a single solar panel can charge a battery of this capacity.

It can't... specs say it is a 200mA max panel

I have a similar Zerolemon charger that was on sale before, without the solar panel. While it won't quick charge my Switch, it stops the drain enough that I can play my Switch all day in hand-held mode without it dying, instead of the 2 to 3 hours the Switch gets on its internal battery.

It can charge the battery, but it is totally not practical for a primary power source. Taking into account efficiency loss during power conversion and solar variability - it would take more than 7.5 days of max solar cell activity to get close to charging the power bank. Obviously in an emergency survival situation even 500-1000 mAh is better than nothing from a full day of solar charging.

Hence the language about solar charging:
Quote :
• With built-in solar technology, the solar juice converts and stores solar energy from sunlight for emergencies.

Not worth the cost - the 8000 mAh version without a sale is $19.99 and realistically anyone needing solar charging doesn't need to be able to power 4 phones for a week.

I have another brand and live in Florida (i.e. sun from hell 8 months a year) and it takes a solid 24 hours in full sunlight to charge fully. So.. 2-3 days.

I clipped it on my bag at Disney and it lasted 6 days charging 2 high end androids. Bonus it charged while charging.

Worth it for this price for a disaster kit or backpacking or whatever. Also great for USB fans for strollers.

I actually have this battery. Purchased it when it first came out. Battery is slow to charge and doesn't have a solid feel. I had a minor issue that I emailed them about but they never got back to me. That last point was what made me take my two Anker batteries when I went on vacation. The zerolemon will stay in the office as an emergency battery, topping off from the florescent lights.
