By the way... This board will support a 7th gen processor with the most current BIOS too which, should be already on the board as long as it was manufactured within the last 2 years.

Slow but reliable? Or do they like to forget some too? Only asking because I bought one but want to know if I should hassle them to ensure it goes through

I've done 3 rebates with them in the last 2 years and I didn't have any hassles. Just remember to follow the rebates instructions and within the postmark date, and make a copy of everything you send in.

You would likely need to patch the firmware through their website once you got it.

Thanks, just realized the same 32GB of DDR4 RAM from my 32GB of DDR3 will run me about $300. I'll pass until RAM is more affordable.

Furthermore, CPU manufacturers will revise their new architecture in the upcoming chips, so it is a no brainier for me to wait until they iron out the "Spectre" (not Meltdown) vulnerability.

I know how you feel. Using this board in my new build and the ram cost is painful. just ordered 16gb for now and will add another 16 once prices come down.

Also... 7700k costs are kinda high too at the moment. i guess thats what my alerts are for!

Just curious. Why would people buy this over Z370 model which is going for around $109 as well?

This one is a xpower gaming titanium edition of the 170a. Provides a lot more features and a different look (some people really want a certain color or setup for their builds)
