Fine price, but not a good protein bar...22g of sugar, 41 carbs... and it's correctly named an energy bar (4:1 carb to protein), would be good for taking on a long hike and climb... Though the high sugar might leave you crashing and craving.
If you're in the market for a "workout" protein bar, this is not the one.

Correct, CLIF (excluding their pressed chalk product called "Builder") is generally more about getting you 200+ calories in the smallest and most appetizing, non-melting package possible. They usually do pretty well at that.

I've had mixed success with Cliff bars shipped directly to consumer, usually they don't taste fresh, like they were melted by the heat.

I would like to take this when I was outside for camping or climbing. Easy to solve your lunch.

Looks decent for hiking, but not an incredible price for those just looking for a snack. 6 count Regular price at Walmart is $4.84 ($9.68 for 12) In the store. Picked up a box via the Alexa S&S offer, which seemed like a great price to tryout clif bars.

Amazon seems to be the cheapest place to go for Cliff bars at the moment. Costco has a good deal, but it is only for chocolate chip and peanut butter flavors.

This is the only flavor of clif I find appetizing, and I've tried over 10 flavors
