Costco has what appears to be the same container that Office Depot/Office Max and Home Depot are selling, but at $5.99. This deal is B&M only and not listed on the Costco web site.

Not the same, as expressly commented throughout the thread. Will not stack with Centrex version. Also slightly cheaper from OM/OD. This is also YMMV iirc as some people did mentioned not seeing this price in store, in said thread.

Thanks for the feedback on stacking. The OM/OD deal is dead, so I thought I would post this for anyone looking for some storage containers.

I have an OM order waiting for pickup and saw these at my local Costco today. I guess I'll compare and see which one looks better. Costco price is a little higher but if they're better I'll grab them instead.

I already picked up my OD order and I have some from Costco that I bought a few months ago. To me, they are close enough to go for the cheaper ones, for my needs at least.

The tub itself seems exactly the same as far as thickness/durability. The Costco ones have more of a smooth matte finish and the OD ones seem a bit shinier and a non-smooth finish. The lids look to be the same thickness as well, but the Costco lids have a more solid color look to them. The OD lids have a bit of discoloration in some areas, like the yellow is lighter in some blotches. This could mean that it is not as solid but I compared the thickness of the edges and they seemed the same to the naked eye and feel, tried bending the edges as well and they seemed to have the same flexibility.

If the Costco ones are better, it's not by much, although you do get the Costco return policy with them (something to think about). I'm assuming they'll take it back anyways, even if it looks like you threw it off your roof with some bricks in it. For my needs though, I don't move them around a lot and don't stack them (maybe a few but just 2 high), I think the OD ones are perfectly fine. I also had $6 left on an OD gift card that I needed to burn, got some cash back from a certain site too.
